This tab holds general information on the project. The idea of the following information (especially if not covered by Classification) is to provide a picture to all actors of the condition in which we are acting, in order to avoid misunderstanding.
Screen data
Project identifier: for NC projects, it is the register number; for other projects, it is automatically generated as follow: Project type + Number (e.g. SIMU0000326)
Creation date: date of project creation

In case of an NC project, its is the creation date within VeriSTAR NB, not in Genesis. |
Project Type: in case of an import from the Sybase database, the project type is automatically put to NC or NS. The project type cannot be modified.
The other project types are:
Project name: commercial name of project
Since: date of ship construction (if project was created before VeriSTAR NB exists).
Secondary name: alternative project name
Marine manager: only for NC projects
Project manager: name of Project Manager (Leader)
BV centre: centre the Project Manager (Leader) belongs to
Starting date: default set to the date the project was created, but editable
End of project: provisional date of the project ending. For NC projects, it is the delivery date.
Project description: short description of the project (4000 characters maximum)
Rule Type: international rules for which BV has been delegated by a country to control ship conformity.
Contract reference: defining the terms of the contract between the client and BV (e.g. Request for Classification).
Other reference documentation: any other additional references describing the scope of BV intervention.
Contract organization: detailed organization chart, defining "who is doing what".
Reporting (type of document, periodicity...): form of certificate to be issued, form of report, periodicity of report...
Invoicing: person designated to be invoiced (Manufacturer, Purchaser...)

Screen features
In the red & white action bar
Update checklist: manually restart the calculation rules when changes occur on the structure of the ship in service. This action updates the characteristics and the checklists.
Edit: modify project data (except the project ID, the creation date and the project type fields).
Delete: delete the project (in case of a mistake); this action is available if project is not a NC or a NS one.

Contacts: list of internal and external contacts associated to the project
Reports: list of reports on the project
