This page holds the whole of information relative to a drawing revision. It is divided into three sections:
Revision: displays drawing data (ID, name, type...)
Comments: list of comments relating to current revision.
Characteristics: characteristics defined by the system for a drawing. According to the categories associated to a drawing, VeriSTAR NB is able to suggest unit information, which is also displayed in the project tree, in order to be exploited by any user. This section is empty if no characteristic has been filled out by the administrator for the category, or if no category has been filled out on registration of drawing.
The project context is reminded in the context bar at the top of page.
Screen data
Project ID: project identifier.
Subfile: specific project activity. For example: Hull.
Subdivision: in case of an offshore activity, subfiles are divided into subdivisions.
Drawing number: unique drawing identifier, common to all revisions of a drawing.
Title: relating to drawing, not revision.
Revision number: number of drawing revision.
If current revision is
the last one, the indicator is displayed next to the
number. Furthermore, there is a link to the other drawing's revisions
(Drawings/ revisions list).
If
current revision is not the last one, a link to the last revision is displayed
next to the number, and there is no link to the other drawing's revisions.
Revision date: date of revision registration.
Categories: list of requested drawings, defined by the system (used to generate the checklist of drawings relating to a project).
Document type: a document can be a:
Bundle: document is a whole of micro-drawing sheets to be reviewed together at once.
Calculation: calculation directory, submitted by shipyard and to be reviewed by the LPO centre. For example, a calculation relating to the strength of materials.
Drawing: documents should be 99% drawings to be reviewed.
Nomenclature: annex submitted with the drawing, including comments or explanations on drawing. A nomenclature document is meant to be submitted "for information" (see Action field below).
Report: along with drawings, you may receive reports relating to rules and regulations about the drawing. Those are different from what is usually called reports in VeriSTAR NB (progress reports...).
Specification:
specification describing the object (ship, machinery...).
Approval status: the meaning and description of all statuses are detailed in a document called TNC 002.
Date of approval: date revision was approved. The month is displayed with the three first letters on this screen, whereas the modification or adding screen displays only digits (for example: 28/01/2003).
Approbator: user name of person who has approved revision.
CAD
original: if drawing is electronic, its original version can be
attached to revision. There can be only one original file.
If this field has been completed, the icon is displayed
here to let you open the file.
Scale: drawing scale.
Format: format of the drawing file (A0, A1, A2, A3, A4...).
CAD
reviewed: if revision is electronic, the modified version can be
attached to revision. There can be several revision files per subfile.
If this field has been completed, the icon is displayed
here to let you open the file.
Order number: filing number, used to physically store drawings and revisions. The order number is displayed in blue has the following characteristics:
no control is performed on this field (type any number you wish);
it is automatically incremented on saving if not filled out (the system takes the next available order number);
it is created within the project but also within a subfile;
there may be several occurrences of number 1 in a project, but only one in a subfile.
the same order number can appear in two different subfiles.
one drawing can be sent to several BV centres, and be stored with different order numbers. Use the Other centres field to view other centres' order numbers, if any.
The red link "clear" is displayed on this line of your screen if drawing or revision has been registered in several LPO centres; it enables to erase storage and mail data relating to your centre (Order number - Box number - Incoming mail reference - Outgoing mail reference).
For example, a revision has been registered by another
LPO centre, and submitted to you for further review; in this case, you
do not re-register the drawing or revision, you only register your order
number (relating to your centre), using the "Other centres"
field (see below).
Box
number: box number where paper drawing or revision is physically
stored in your centre.
Other centres: since a revision can be registered
by several LPO centres, you may need to consult storage and mail data
registered by these centres for this revision. Click to
open the popup list of centres, order and box numbers, incoming and outgoing
mail references and dates. All data displayed in the popup is the data
you can erase by clicking on "clear" on the above line.
Incoming
mail: reference of incoming mail containing drawing or revision
(sent from shipyard or manufacturer)
Date
(of incoming mail): date the drawing or revision was received.
Outgoing
mail: reference of outgoing mail containing drawing and comments
(sent back to shipyard or manufacturer).
Date
(of outgoing mail): date the drawing or revision was sent.
Expert
in charge: user name of person in charge of the revision in this
subfile : there is one expert per subfile for one same revision. If revision
is also registered in another subfile, the expert is another person.
Action:
this field indicates the action to be taken with current revision: "for
review" is the most common action, meaning the submitted drawing
or revision must be reviewed by LPO.
If subfile is Offshore, the shipyard might drop or send drawings prior
to the usual time: drawings will first be submitted for information, then
for comment and eventually for review, as explained below:
for
info: submitted as an informal notice, in order to get notes from
LPO.
For every subfile (not only Offshore), a drawing for info may also
be used to complete or explain another drawing.
for comment: revision of drawing is resubmitted in order to get comments in advance.
for
review: since revisions have already gone back and forth between
LPO and shipyard, the revision submitted for review might get a quicker
approval stamp.
Priority:
(for Offshore only) this field should be ignored.
CRS
number: (for Offshore only) Comment Response Sheet: this field
should not be filled out either.
Modify
by: name of site responsible for the last data modification on
this revision (example: BV Paris).
Date: date of revision modification.
Comments section:
The list of comments displays the following information, displayed in lines,
without the field label.
Comment object: title of comment, displayed as a link; click the comment object to display the comment detail.
Creation date: date comment was created.
Comment status: the comment may be:
Draft: created and still editable
Pending: submitted and no longer editable (visible to shipyard)
Answered: by shipyard
Cleared: solved
Creator name: user name of person who created comment.
Status Not solved if comment status equals Draft, Pending or Answered.
This section holds an eventual list of characteristics defined in VeriSTAR NB administration for the unit, if at least one category has been filled out for current drawing. The information of this section is also displayed in the project tree, in order to be shared and exploited by all if necessary.
Name: name of characteristics, as defined in VeriSTAR NB administration.
Value: of characteristics. This is the only editable field if this section.
Unit: of characteristics (e.g. mm, kW...)
Location: indicates where characteristic is located in the project tree. The location is displayed as a link, so you can have a direct access to this characteristic in the tree.
