This form enables to:
create a product folder in case of a Non Dedicated Certification.
modify the Product tab of an existing product folder (whatever the certification context is)
Complete product data:
Generic product: name of the reference item used to build the ship or unit tree (e.g. Pump)
if creating a product:
click to select a product from the popup window reference
list
if modifying a product: this field is read-only
Located product: name of product within the project tree.

This field is not displayed in case of NDC and Non Located products because there is no tree context. |
Design review: 3 types of design review:
1. Type approval: either a type approval exists for this generic product and this manufacturer; the equipment drawings review is based on the conception of the product.
2. Case by case design review: if there is no type approval, the approval of the equipment drawings is required case by case
3. Not required/ Not applicable: the design review is not necessary

Product description: type the BV designation of product
Client designation: type the name of product, as designated by client
Frame of certification: 3 possible types:
Classification: the intervention has to be made according to BV rules,
Client's representative: the intervention has to be made according to client requirements,
Classification and Client's representative: the intervention has to be made according to both requirements.
Reference
documents: you must attach a file to the product folder, containing
BV regulations and client requirements. Click to select
a document in the popup window reference list.

BV Additional Instruction: type any useful additional requirement and/ or recommendation of Project Manager (Leader)
Client specification: type any particular request of client, ASTMA312 (American standard)...
Client specification Files: you may attach a file to the product folder, containing the client's specific requests.
Type of certificate/ report: 6 possible status:
CE: European Community certificate
Inspection Certificate: BV traditional certification
Inspection Report: temporary certificate (will finally get the Inspection Certificate type)
3.1.C.: those certificates have 3 specific fields displayed in the Characteristics/ Tasks tab.
Purchaser: name of the purchaser
Purchase Order Number: retrieved from the purchase order
P.O Item Number: client number that identifies the product on the Purchase Order.

There may be several Item numbers within one same Purchase Order. |
Dated: date the purchase order was emitted
Total quantity: type a quantity in the text field, and select a unit in the drop-down menu.
Purchase Order: you may attach the purchase order provided by the client.
Expected date of certification: defined by the purchaser, to be typed by the Project Manager (Leader)
Supplier: name of the supplier
Manufacturer: name of manufacturer who has requested the certification
BV Centre: auto-incremented once the BVN centre assignment procedure has been performed (see Assign Centre). If your own centre is assigned to the product certification:
the corresponding project will be displayed in the Assigned project block of your Desktop;
the product will be displayed in the NDC block of your Desktop (in case of a shelf product certification)

The centre assigned will have to assign one of his surveyors to the job (see Assign Surveyor). |
Assignment Date: auto-incremented once the BVN centre assignment procedure has been performed (see Assign Centre)
Surveyor: this field is auto-incremented when the BVN surveyor assignment procedure is performed (see Assign Surveyor)
Other Information: type any useful information that better describes the product or the mission.
BV
Centre Identification/Job No: identification number provided by
the BV centre/ mission number (not mandatory).

to leave it.
