Graphical view is a feature that offers :
an alternative way to tree navigation ;
a synthetic view of work progress by coloring the drawings ;
a way to quickly generate items on tree.
When a graphical view is completely defined :
Colors will give you synthetic information about your work. Click "Show/Hide legend" for more information ;
Clicking an item on the drawing will automatically open the tree on the appropriate node.
Tips :
The top left combo box lets you choose between any graphical view defined for your activity ;
You may Zoom and pan the drawing ;
Tab may be resized by dragging it's bottom left corner.
Graphical views may be created when they will simplify navigation in the tree. For instance (non exhaustive list) :
Survey at yard : navigate through blocks / joints ;
Design review : Navigate through zone drawings ;
AIMS : navigate through compartments.
Graphical views may also present synthetic information like :
Blocks/joints inspections status (done/to be done/overdue) ;
AIMS inspections status (done/to be done/overdue).
Graphical views may be used in a totally different context, provided what is drawn can be linked to a tree system/product.
The creation of a graphical views requires two steps :
