Create a PDR

LPO

Desktop click "new Product Design Review" in the action bar.

BVN

Desktop click in the Assigned Projects block click in the BVN Project View click the Design Review tab click "Edit" in the action bar click "New Design Review" in the action bar.
Desktop click in the NDC block click the Design Review tab click "Edit" in the action bar click "New Design Review" in the action bar.

This page enables to create a Product Design Review project. A manufacturer has requested an equipment certification, that may be linked to a NC project or independent. In any case, you should create a PDR in order to register drawings on products (a NC project only registers drawings on the unit, not on products).

The design review of an equipment is to be performed on a generic product, for a given manufacturer. On creation of a PDR, the characteristics and LPO tasks (only) are retrieved from this generic element.

The request for product certification may come directly from manufacturer to the LPO centre, but the LPO centre may also may be assigned by a BVN centre, who has already created the PDR project; in this case, the PDR will appear in the LPO Todos (Product design rev. tab).

Complete drawing data:

Generic product: click to choose a generic product from the popup window. The system will retrieve the name, characteristics and tasks for this equipment

If the equipment belongs to a unit, this generic product will become a located one (in the unit tree) and use the generic product data.
If you have come to this page from the Design Review tab of the BVN product folder, this field is automatically filled in and read-only.

Project name: give a name to your PDR to better identify it.
Project identifier: if you leave that field blank, the system will automatically generate a project ID.
Subfile: select a subfile from the drop-down menu.
Client Designation: fill in the product designation, as used by the client.
Manufacturer: a PDR is about on manufacturer; select a manufacturer from the popup window reference list.
Assigned LPO Centre, Assignment Date and Surveyor: those 3 fields are not editable;

for LPO profiles, the fields will be automatically updated on saving, with the name of your BV centre, today's date and your user name, since you are the person creating the PDR.
for BVN profiles, the fields will be filled in once you have assigned a LPO surveyor to the PDR.

Other information: type any other information that may be interesting to the PDR.

Click to validate the PDR creation: the new PDR is registered to the application.

For LPO users: the PDR you have just created is displayed with its default Product tab.
For BVN users: the Design Review tab of your product folder is displayed again and updated with the new PDR. You may have access to the PDR detail (Product tab), by clicking the icon.
